About Creator Connect

Creator Connect is a music and creator platform where paying listeners fund the artists they actually play. No shared pool, no minimum stream count, no per-stream rate set by the platform.

Why it exists

Streaming pays artists from one shared pool. Every subscriber's money is thrown in together and divided by total plays, so a listener who only ever plays one small artist still sends most of their money to whoever had the most streams that month. Creator Connect was built to remove the pool.

On Creator Connect, each subscriber's payment follows that subscriber's own listening. If you pay for Premium and spend the month listening to one artist, your share goes to that artist. 51% of every Premium subscription goes to creators; the platform keeps the rest to run the service. How it works, step by step.

What the platform does

  • Fan-powered royalties. A Premium subscriber contributes a flat $0.25 per day, divided across the creators they played that day in proportion to listening time, and settled every night.
  • Splits. A track's owner declares who shares the recording and by how much. Collaborators accept by invite and are paid automatically. A share for someone who has not yet accepted is held for 90 days and released to them when they do. More on splits.
  • Credits. Producers, engineers and performers can be credited on a track without a money share. A person can hold both a credit and a split.
  • Posts, photos and video from creators, alongside their music.
  • A creative-services marketplace where creators hire each other, with verified sellers and tracked payouts.

Who runs it

Creator Connect is built and operated by WUW Technologies Inc. (transitioning to Art and Music Technology Inc.) and was founded by Donnavan Kirk. Before Creator Connect, Donnavan spent years around athlete compensation, watching people generate enormous value while the structure above them captured nearly all of it. Creator Connect is the same argument applied to music: the person whose work is being played should be the person who gets paid for it.

What we will not claim

Fan-powered payouts change what Creator Connect pays. They do not change what other platforms pay. An artist earns here from the listeners they have here. The model rewards a real audience rather than viral volume, and we would rather say that plainly than promise more.
